MOBAtime are the gold standard for time display, time distribution, time synchronization and time reference systems. Swiss quality and innovation are the foundations of the family-owned company Moser-Baer AG, which was founded in 1938. Tens of thousands of their systems are in use in transport including the Swiss Railway SBS, public buildings and industry around the world and we are proud to be their premier partners throughout the whole of the UK.
The exterior clocks MOBAtime produce are used throught the Swiss railway and are such are fantastic value for money, when looking for accuracy, reliability and longevity.
Most MOBAtime clocks run off either battery power, NTP via ethernet and POE or impulse power provided by a 'Master clock'. Also, all the battery clocks can be fitted with a mains transformer if you wish.
Their stand alone battery clocks can be run in one of three ways; quarts standard, radio controlled or GPS controlled.
The quartz models operate off the highest quality quartz crystals and keep fantiastic time. Adjustments can be made via buttons on the movement itself, so you will need access to the clock when these are needed to be made. Alternatively we can supply software to set up automatic summer / winter time change via initial connection to a PC.
The radio controlled models rely on the MSF signal transmitted from Anthorn Radio Station. The signal covers the whole of the UK and can also be received throughout most of northern and western Europe. Please do be aware though that signal strength can vary.
The GPS models synchronise from Satelites. They require a 75% view of the sky so as to keep uninterupted 'sight' of a satlite. To help with this the GPS reciever comes with a 5m long cable to help you mount it in an approriate position. The GPS models are more expensive, but also most accurate and future proof way of setting up an external battery clock.
All the external battery clocks take two size D batteries or, as we set them up, a single DD battery. We sell Lithium DD batteries that will give you power for between 5-7 years.
Their Impulse clocks are often used when there are a number of clocks requiring synchronisation on a premises, that you want to be able to control from a central location. This is done via a 'Master' clock that is usually hardwired to each of the clocks and sends a signal down the line to each clock to tell it how to behave. These signals ranges from simple 24v pulses each minute to more complex datastream solutions like MOBAline that let the clocks talk back to the master clock for fault reporting for example. There are also solutions for wireless installations and NTP via ethernet with POE.
The clock cases themselves are manufactured in aluminium section, built and finished to the highest professional standards and designed for easy commissioning and maintenance as well as being thoroughly wetherproof.
Dial and hand variants are avaialble, please contact us to discuss what might best fit your need.
