There are essentially two menus for navigating the Grayson website - the horizontal menu bar running across each page (below the Grayson banner) which takes you to the shopping, account and contact pages, and the
vertical menu to the left of each page which is divided into three sections offering help with the site, the main product groupings and general information.
To get to the Home page from anywhere in the site, click Home on the menu bar or click on the Grayson banner.
You can either find the products you are looking for by navigating through product categories and groups or by using the search box.
To find an item by navigating through the product categories, click on Products in the horizontal menu bar to go to the beginning of the entire catalogue, or click on a specific
product category under Products in the vertical menu bar (to the left of most pages). Product groups appear underneath each category when a category is selected. Click on each of these product groups in turn to find what you are looking for.
Some groups show thumbnails where there are product variations. Clicking on a thumbnail or reference code will bring up specific product information such as the price, as well as an image for the particular item selected.
To search for specific items, enter a word or phrase in the Search Box (near the top left of each page), click the Go button or press enter on your keyboard.
You can enter up to 3 search words or phrases. Matching items appear as a list. Clicking on an item within this list brings up the item in detail and any group related items.
To place an item in your shopping basket, either in 'list view' or 'detail view', enter the quantity (next to the Buy button) and click on the Buy button.
You may alter the contents of your basket at any time by selecting Basket from the horizontal menu bar. You can alter the quantity for an item or remove it altogether by clicking
in the checkbox in the remove column. When you have made your changes you must click the Recalculate button to update the basket.
To continue shopping, click the Shop button and continue selecting items until you have completed your order. The shopping basket is
displayed after each item is added and may be viewed at any time. When you have finished shopping, please click on the Checkout button to proceed to the Checkout page.
||Batteries. All clocks bearing this symbol are fitted with Grayson Quartz movements. They are especially accurate to 60 seconds per year and require no additional wiring. All our battery clocks are supplied with a battery and fixing kit.|
||Plugs. All clocks bearing this symbol are fitted with our Grayson self-starting mains electric movement. For operating they need simply to be connected to the mains supply via a suitable plug.|
||Control Systems. All clocks bearing this symbol work in conjunction with a Grayson master clock system.|
||MSF Rugby Radio Controlled. All clocks bearing this symbol are fitted with a quartz battery movement which receives a radio signal to maintain highly accurate time-keeping and automatic winter and summer time changes.|
To change the currency displayed, click on a currency symbol on the far right of the horizontal menu bar. We can display prices in GB Pounds or Euros.
Please note that all transactions are concluded in GB Pounds and that where an alternative currency is displayed, the exchange rate applied is an approximation for guidance only. The actual exchange rate will be determined by your card issuer on the date of the transaction.
The order will be displayed in GB Pounds once the Checkout page has been reached.
Whilst we are able to display prices in Euros, we can only take online payments for customers in the UK. We can however take orders for overseas customers through this website and will contact you upon receiving your order from the shopping basket.
After clicking the Checkout button on the Shopping Basket page, you will be redirected to the Logon page unless you are already logged in. Please enter your email address and password if you have already set up an on-line account and click on the Logon button.
If you have not signed up for an on-line account, click on the Sign Up For An On-Line Account link on the Logon page where you will be redirected to the New On-Line Account page.
Fill out your details including your billing address. Once you have clicked on the Submit button you will be redirected to the Checkout page.
We ask you to enter only those details that we require to fulfil your orders and inform you of our services.
To change your details, log in with your email address and password and click on the Update On-Line Account link. If you forget your password, click on this Forgotten Your Password? link (also on the Logon) page and answer the security questions exactly as you did when you registered your on-line account. You will then proceed to the Update On-Line Account page where you should enter and confirm a new password for future logons.
Once you reach the Checkout page, simply confirm your order requirements and click Proceed. In most cases you will go to our secure Payment page. Payment for some orders cannot be made online, for example where an order is particularly heavy. In such cases the Checkout page will advise you of any special arrangements that need to be made. In all cases, clicking the Proceed button will send your order through to us and you will receive an email confirmation where an order has been received.
Payment is accepted by Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Electron, Solo and Switch/UK Maestro. On reaching the Payment page, enter your debit or credit card details and click the Proceed button. A further Payment page confirms the transaction amount. Click the Proceed button once more before being returned to the Confirmation page which notifies you of the outcome of the transaction. Successful orders will also be confirmed by an email from us.
Payment is made via a secure server and cards are cleared on-line with the card issuer. Additional security checks are performed to validate payment information. In the interests of security, we do not retain card details and hence they are not accessible. These therefore need to be entered to conclude each transaction. Once we receive authority from the card issuer, we will prepare your order for despatch from our warehouse.
Your payment details are protected with Secure Socket Layer 128 Bit Encryption technology. Please read our Privacy Satement for further information.
You can view a list of your successful Orders by clicking on My Account in the menu bar. If you are not already logged on, you will need to enter your username and password and click the Logon button on the Logon page.
